BPS member, Shaun Boycott-Taylor ARPS will present his talk "A Passion for Wildlife" which will be a veritable feast of natural history goodies. We are promised a mixture of wildlife images ranging from those taken in Shaun's own little local wildlife haven where he has a permanent hide, to those taken further afield in locations such as Scotland, Bass Rock and Florida. All this, mixed with Shaun's boundless enthusiasm & passion for his subject, promises to make the evening a thoroughly enjoyable one.

There will be no meeting at the clubrooms on the Wednesday after next, 8 May. Instead we will be meeting at the QEH Theatre in Jacob Wells Rd, Clifton for the annual showing of the Bristol International Salon of Photography. This is an event not to be missed when you will be able to see a selection from the nearly 3,000 images that were accepted in this year's Salon, including all of the award winners, all set to an appropriate musical background. Members are encouraged to bring along family or friends (or both); entry for members is free but a small charge of £4 is made for visitors or guests.
We will be showing roughly 900 images at the show, but if you feel you have time on your hands, you can view all of the accepted images on the BPS website by clicking here.

This is a bit of advanced warning. Next year's WCPF Knightshayes Trophy is a competition for individual photographers and is for a maximum of 2 prints on a set subject, this time the subject will be "Airborne". The closing date is February next year which is a long time away, but hopefully this advanced warning will give you a chance to get the winning image at this year's summer (yes, I did say summer) events such as air shows, kite festivals etc.
