Dear Members,
Due to the current public health restriction EMSA Board Of Directors has decided to delay the start date of 2021 Outdoor Soccer Season to June 1st, 2021; with this new date EMSA is also looking to extend the Community Season into summer (this plan is still subject to change based on the future Government of Alberta updates).
EMSA receives continuous updates form Alberta Soccer Association that is always in contact with SPAR and Government of Alberta, effective from May 3, 2021 all teams must follow the
updated ASA 8 & 2 Youth Training Guidelines. The changes/updates in this new guideline concern the coaching training standards, this means that effective May 3, 2021 the coaching group (minimum of 2 coaches) must;
1. Have a valid Criminal Record / Vulnerable Section Check on File with the club / district
a. And this must be available to Alberta Soccer upon request
2. Have 1 coach who is 18+ years old
3. Have 1 coach is the same gender as the players present
4.
Rule of 2 will still apply to all training
Please note this update is subject to change by the Government of Alberta and Alberta Health based on future pandemic restrictions.
