Bill Cooper & Crusher                       All of US on Edge of Cliff

IAHF List: I want to personally THANK all of you for the phone calls, faxes, and emails you folks so diligently sent to Congress in opposition to the bad AER bill- S.3546.

Old African saying: "Some must watch, while some must sleep." National Health Federation's lobbyist Lee Bechtel was up all night watching C-Span and he assisted me with this report, which is how I know exactly what happened at 3:06 am eastern time

Here is what happened late last night while we were all asleep. I don't want you to despair when you read my report, I want you to fully understand what happened, and what we have to do next- because only one HALF of the FAT LADY has sung- and I'll explain what I mean by that in a minute because there are STILL things we can do to protect our access to supplements. Until the Congressional Record comes out on monday, we won't know what transpired during the 40 minute debate that took place on the floor, so that part of it you'll have to wait for------>

FIRST THE BAD NEWS- THEN THE GOOD NEWS

Refer to http://clerk.house.gov/floorsummary/floor.html

1:33 A.M. -

DEBATE - The House proceeded with forty minutes of debate on S. 3546.

Considered under suspension of the rules.

1:42 A.M. -

At the conclusion of debate, the Yeas and Nays were demanded and ordered. Pursuant to the provisions of clause 8, rule XX, the Chair announced that further proceedings on the motion would be postponed.

TRANSLATION: We got screwed in an unrecorded voice vote which we lost at 1:33 am, but Congressmen Ron Paul (R-TX), Dan Burton (R-IN), Pete Sessions( R-TX), and Tom Price (R-GA) objected to the bill not having a Roll Call Vote because they wanted the public to be able to see how people voted so they demanded that the vote be held again- this time as a Roll Call Vote- so thats why the vote was held again at 3:06 am.

3:06 A.M. -

Motion to reconsider laid on the table Agreed to without objection.

On motion to suspend the rules and pass the bill Agreed to by the Yeas and Nays: (2/3 required): 203 - 98 (Roll no. 543).

As you can see from the table below, we got screwed mostly by the Democrats who voted for the bad bill by 134 yeas, to just 69 coming from Republicans, with 132 people not voting. Please hold your own Congressman accountable if he or she voted the wrong way despite your efforts. Let 'em know you're pissed, but if they voted correctly, please THANK them!!

With Democrats Waxman and Dingell now being back in charge of the Subcommittee and Full Committee where all health legislation originates before moving to the floor of the House- this does not bode well for vitamin consumers, and we're going to have to work VERY HARD to cultivate ALLIES amongst the freshman Congressmen whose first term in office begins in January. For that and other reasons cited at the end of this report, I will need your URGENT SUPPORT to be able to get back to DC for more work.

See how your congressman voted below, following which I will present you with THE GOOD NEWS....

THE GOOD NEWS:

The good news is that only ONE HALF of the FAT LADY has SUNG.

Translation: The statute is only one HALF of the LAW- the OTHER half comes in the form of RULEMAKING by the Federal Agency that must enforce the law (in this case the FDA).

It could take YEARS before the FDA gets around to drafting a final rule on this bill, consider DSHEA for a minute- DSHEA passed into law 12 years ago, and FDA still hasn't fully implemented it.

Moreover, we can have INPUT into the FDA's rulemaking. FDA will hold a public hearing where we can have input, and if we object strenuously to part of their proposed rule, and they fail to listen to us, and it results in BAD THINGS  happening which negatively impact our ACCESS, we can go back to Hatch and Harkin and others in Congress and we can DEMAND that they FIX IT by drafting an amendment.

The good news is that even though the SMARMY  BASTARDS SCREWED US at 3:06 am, they're still MUGGABLE and we can STILL take steps to PROTECT OURSELVES.

WHY IAHF NEEDS YOUR HELP TO GET BACK TO DC IN JANUARY

1. We just got our clocks cleaned in this vote.

I need to get to DC in January to THANK those who HELPED us in this vote, to EDUCATE those who opposed us and to explain why they shouldn't have voted the way they did, and I especially need to meet the new first term Congressmen and new Senators so we can cultivate some badly needed ALLIES!

I also need to get back because the FDA finally responded to that letter that I got congressman Paul to put on his letterhead (which I got 4 other congressmen to sign). The letter was to then acting FDA Commissioner Von Echenbach, (unfortunately the Senate confirmed him last Friday so he's the new Commissioner). The letter demanded to know how FDA considers their Trilateral Cooperation Charter (With Canada/ Mexico) to be in any way LEGAL.

(See my petition about this and please sign it: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/373269232#body

FDA has very creatively responded with a masterpiece of SPIN that I am now getting some legal help in INTERPRETING so we can continue OPPOSING THIS illegal measure which threatens to harmonize the food and drug regs between US/ Canada/ Mexico as part of the ruling elite plan to DESTROY all 3 nations and to force them together into an EU type structure where all of our rights would be stripped from us and we'd be harm-onized FURTHER to CODEX restrictions which are clearly part of a Global Eugenics/Genocide agenda to cull our numbers.

For donations of $25 we'll send a copy of Byron Richard's book

FIGHT FOR YOUR HEALTH- EXPOSING THE FDA's BETRAYAL OF AMERICA(see photo of front cover of the book at the top of this mssg)

For $50. we'll send the book, plus Kevin Miller's documentary film "We Become Silent" about the Codex vitamin issue. For $100. we'll send the above + an IAHF Bumper Sticker.

For $200. or more we'll send the above + an autographed photo suitable for framing of John Hammell swimming in a hole cut in the ice of a frozen pond.

The photo helps anyone who sees it to increase their resolve to be stronger than any hardship you may ever face.

Please help us get back to DC so we can do our work!
