Tour of the Island on Thursday 24 from 4pm
Santa Claus is coming to Scotland Island from 4pm on
Thursday 24th December in one of his last public
appearances before a marathon effort to deliver presents
to people all around the world.
Santa Claus
will travel around Scotland Island on our Island
Fire Brigade truck with lights flashing and siren
blasting!
Tell your kids, tell your friends, tell everyone to come
and see Santa as he passes by your house on the Scotland
Island.

WHARVES UPGRADE UPDATE
Wharf Upgrades, Bell
and Carols Wharf Scotland Island
Construction phase
We are excited to announce construction is set to start
following the recent construction contract being awarded
to GPM Marine Pty Ltd.
The project, jointly funded by Council and NSW
Government’s NSW Boating Now scheme, will provide an
additional 32 commuter berths at both Bell Wharf and
Carols Wharf as well as upgrades to the ferry berthing
facilities. Repairs and accessibility upgrades to the
existing fixed wharves will also be completed.
Construction is expected to start in November 2020 on the
fixed portion of Bell and Carols Wharf, followed by the
installation of the floating pontoons which will be
completed by mid-2021.

We recently completed a study to investigate the
feasibility of providing water and wastewater services to
Scotland Island.
A report went to a meeting on Tuesday 24 November updating
Council on the outcomes of this study.
At that meeting Council resolved to:
1. Endorse the outcomes of the Scotland Island Water and
Wastewater investigations and associated reports.
2. Write to the Hon Rob Stokes, MP, Minister for Planning
and Member for Pittwater, the Hon Melinda Pavey, MP.
Minister for Water, Property and Housing, and Roch
Cheroux, Managing Director, Sydney Water, providing copies
of reports and requesting the Scotland Island water and
wastewater project be programmed for implementation.

- Dub, Soul, Jazz, Cinematic Electronica!
The Co-Op Club present DECLAN KELLY’S new project 3RD EYE
LAZERCAT! 3rd Eye Lazercat is a deep dive into trio
improvisation. Drawing from elements of dub, soul, jazz
and cinematic and electronic music, the trio is about
developing music in the moment. Daniel Pliner (keys), Adm
Ventoura (bass) and Declan Kelly (drums) have worked as
musicians alongside many of Australia's top artists across
pop, soul reggae and electronic genres and release music
in their own right. With Third Eye Lazercat, each
performance is the creation of a new musical moment which
will never be repeated.
Declan has drummed, recorded & written Bernard
Fanning, Kasey Chambers, Katie Noonan, Passenger,
Kingtide, Eugene Hideaway Bridges, Alex Lloyd, Stan
Walker, Guy Sebastian, Karise Eden, Stranger Cole, Johnny
Osbourne, Jon Stevens.....To name a few.
They have one hell of a great feel good repertoire of cool
tunes that make you want to get up & dance dance. Kick
back by the waters edge…. you might never want to leave!

Doley has for the last 10 years been touring around the
globe with his own projects as well as backing up Canadian
Bluesman Harry Manx and Texan guitar traveller Eugene

remarkable singer/songwriter with a passion for creating
new works that could have been recorded by the R&B
