Why?
Ireland faces many challenges to deliver a sustainable social and economic recovery. Reforming how we fund and deliver our public services is now generally accepted as being critical to recovery. If we can deliver reform that puts the citizen at the centre of the design and delivery of joined up, personalised public services then we will get maximum value for money from our limited resources. The reform process will have major implications for both public sector service providers and their voluntary sector partners in service delivery.
The Wheel, the national representative body for community, voluntary and charitable organisations, is facilitating this special half-day conference to stimulate debate on the opportunities and challenges that face us in redesigning our public services.
