"Fire...bad."
Frankenstein's monster

OK, this is our big Los Manatees last-minute push to make our debut performance at The Sellersville Theater this Thursday (April 5) an all-out sell-out. We hit the stage at 8:00pm sharp. Mike Guldin & Rollin' & Tumblin' go on at 9:00pm, and the two bands jam together for the finale at around 10:30pm.
Beer and wine are sold and both bands will have merchandise tables. This is a benefit concert with proceeds going to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's 3 Day Walk. It's all for a very good cause and we'd like to thank Mike for getting us involved.

Manatee fun fact: Did you known that not only is Uncle Ronkle recordin' & filmin' all three sets of the upcoming Sellersville show, but that he also took the photograph of Los Manatees that appeared above the cover story in last Thursday's Lansdale Reporter? It's true! Thanks Ron.

We here at Manatees Central were saddened to hear of the closing of The Sharon Moore Gallery in Souderton, PA. Sharon is a long time supporter of Los Manatees and once even hired us to perform at one of her gallery openings. She has helped many artists in the region and even displayed the works of our own Manatee drummer, Myles Rothwell. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

Manatee Fun Fact: Did you know that Manatee guitarist, Joe "Jozo" Rizzo, will not be playing with us at the Sellersville Theater this Thursday because he's in London, England checking out Abbey Road Studios? It's true! Cheerio, England Joe!

Not only will David Bromberg/Angel Band/Manatee singer Kathleen Weber be performing with us this Thursday, her sister Ginger will be the still photogarpher for the show. (No tight shots, please.)

Upcoming shows include our Roman Delight (Hilltown, PA) acoustic jams every second Wednesday (April 4 & 18). Come and sit in. It starts early (8:00) and no, you don't have to wear a toga (but it wouldn't hurt). At the end of the month (Fri., the 27th) we return to The Sandtrap in Limerick, PA, with The Rhino Horns.

Manatee Fun Fact: Did you know that Bob Marley/Wailer guitarist, Earl "Chinna" Smith (who plays on three songs on our upcoming Los Manatees CD), was a Jamaican prodigy and has been called Melchisidek the High Priest since the time he was a teen studio sensation? It's true!

Manatee friend, Peter Wroblewski, was down in Nashville recently to attend the 40th birthday party for Ronnie McCoury, (mandolin & vocals for the Del McCoury bluegrass band). Also in attendance for the inevitable pickin' session was Sam Bush (mandolin for New Grass Revival/Strength In Numbers) and John Paul Jones (mandolin for Led Zepplin). Peter recorded the whole event for posterity.
