CPR Anytime
The Family & Friends CPR Anytime Personal Learning Program allows families, friends and the general public, who most likely would not attend a traditional CPR course, to learn the core skills of CPR in 22 minutes using their own personal kit. CPR Anytime uses a "practice while watching" instructional method. Users practice CPR on a personal, inflatable manikin while watching these skills being taught and performed on a DVD. The kit contains everything needed to learn basic CPR, and skills can be learned anywhere, from the comfort of a family home to a large community group setting. CPR Anytime and Infant CPR Anytime kits are designed to be shared with close family and friends, strengthening the chain of survival in your community.
The cost of the program will be $50 and will include both the "Friends and Family" and "Infant" CPR Anytime kits, which are yours to keep after the class.
The class will be given on Tuesday September 14th from 8:30-10pm, light refreshments will be served.
The Deadline for signup is August 25th. Once you sign up a kit will be ordered.
For more information and to reserve a spot, please feel free to contact Aryeh Simmonds via email at aryeh4@yahoo.com
If you are interested in sponsoring please contact Jonny Shore at jonnys_1971@yahoo.com

Chesed Opportunities
CareOne
CareOne, the kosher rehabilitation and nursing center located at 544 Teaneck Road, 4 blocks south of Holy Name Hospital, is in need of volunteers to maintain the continuity of their Shabbos minyanim, which their residents look forward to each week.
We are joining with other local Shuls in trying to send over a handful of members on a weekly rotating basis to participate in the various minyanim throughout Shabbos. This will be coordinated directly by Rabbi Siev of CareOne.
This is a wonderful chesed opportunity for families to perform Bikur Cholim & mitzvot together while setting a valuable example for the entire community. Youth groups and a Kiddush will be provided. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help.
Please call Rabbi Siev and let him know which weeks you are available to attend, and if you would like to daven, lain, give a d'var Torah, be a Gabbai etc. Important: Please leave your contact information including your name, phone number and e-mail address so you can be notified of the details.
Mincha Friday night is 10 minutes after candle lighting, Shacharit Shabbat morning is at 9:00 a.m. and Mincha Shabbat afternoon and throughout the week is approximately the same time as in your own shul.
Rabbi Joseph Siev at
(201) 287-8519
or jsiev@care-one.com
To join our Bikur Cholim group that visit residents at other times,
please contact Laurie Kilimnick

or e-mail lauriesteckler@hotmail.com.
Tomchei Shabbos
We are in need of more volunteer drivers, several have made Aliyah and others have schedule conflicts. The time commitment is approximately an hour, on Wednesday nights. You do not need to commit to driving every week, we can fit you in once a month, bimonthly or what ever works for you. What better form of gemilus chasadim than to help out our neighbors who are down on their luck.
If you have the time please respond to Steve Gutlove at s.gutlove@verizon.net
