PAGB Interclub Projected Image Competition
|
The latest issue of the PAGB e-news contains details of how to order tickets for the 2014 PAGB Interclub PDI Competition to be held at Warwick in July. Last year BPS came 8th and is again representing the WCPF at this year's event, so it would be really good to see a large contingent of BPS members travelling up the M5/M42 to support us. The event is being held on Saturday 12 July. See below for link to PAGB e-news and application form for tickets.

BPS and the Residents' Parking Scheme - Update
|
Click here to download the latest newsletter from BID Clifton on the residents' parking scheme proposed by the City Council. Read about the recent protest march through the City and the presentation of a letter direct to Mr Ferguson. From the BID Newsletter you will see that Mayor Ferguson might at last be listening to the local voice and taking note of our concerns about the effects his proposals will have on the area! If you want to know more about BID Clifton (what it is and what it is about), just click on this link to go to their home page.

To enter, you can visit their website, where you can view the Conditions of Entry and submit your entry (entry is on-line, but obviously you will have to post the prints!)

A Date For AV Enthusiasts

26 April is the date this year for the annual BPS pilgrimage to the Woodford Point to Point races. The event, as its name suggests, is held at Woodford which is 15 miles north of Bristol on the A38 and has provided a good opportunity for members to photograph this type of event for the past few years. There are no fences to separate the public from the horses so you can get really close to the action. For further details, please follow this link.
Don't worry if you don't normally follow the gee gees, it's always a good day out (weather permitting) with a mix of racing on one section of the area and a small tented village containing a myriad of horsey stalls (and people) and, of course, the parade ring. If you want to know a bit more, have a word with me on Wednesday.
WCPF Members' Annual Exhibition 2014 is being held at Buckfast Abbey from 3 to 18 May. Entry is free. More details available on the WCPF website.
