Dear classic car enthusiast,
Today I present you twelve newly arrived classics, vintage cars and sports cars for sale and two restoration projects. Amicale Facel Holland has started the complete restoration of a 1963 Facel Vega Facel II for an American customer. This Facel Vega was part of the "Palmen collection" for more than forty years. At Classic Job, the restoration of the rare 1954 Talbot Lago T26 GSL has been updated.
The sales offer is very varied and of high quality. Nice surprises are the Aston DBS from 1969 as seen in the James Bond film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" and the amazing Aston Martin DBS V8 that was the fastest four-seater production car in the world in 1972. And what about an original and top restored Lancia Fulvia Coupé Rallye HF from 1968 and the Rover P5B rally car that has participated in rallies all over the world and is ready for new adventures? I am personally very much impressed by the never-restored 1974 Ford Consul 2.3 GT V6 Coupé... As if the car has just left the Ford showroom! This impressive 1963 Facel Vega Facel II comes from the Dutch Palmen collection that was auctioned in 2023. The Facel Vega was the ultimate 1960s French luxury car that the stars and famous fancied and loved. This Facel II was part of the Palm Collection for approximately 40 years. The new American owner has commissioned Amicale Facel Holland (AFH) to carry out a complete “body off” restoration to top condition. This fantastic Bentley Speed 8 Special was built by the renowned company Racing Green Engineering (RGE) in Wales, UK. The Bentley is based on a fully restored and rebuilt 1949 Bentley MK VI chassis, equipped with a fully overhauled B81 6500 cc eight-cylinder in-line engine. The aluminium bodywork has been masterfully hand-built by skilled RGE craftsmen to the highest possible standards of perfection. Aston Martin DBS Series 1 coupe, year 1969. This Aston has factory original matching numbers. Colour Olive green metallic combined with a black leather interior finished with black wool carpet. This beautiful right-hand drive Aston Martin DBS Series 1 was sold new in New Zealand. The car was shipped from Victoria to the Netherlands in 2015. Originally the car was painted red, in 2016 the DBS underwent a bodywork restoration in which the car was painted in the highly sought-after original Aston Martin colour “Olive Green” metallic as seen on the DBS featuring in the James Bond film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" from 1969. This Aston Martin DBS is in a very good condition, both technically and mechanically the car has been extensively maintained and brought up to date. Fiat 124 Sport Spider 1600 (BS1), 1972 (first registration February 28, 1972). Colour yellow (Colorado Yellow 241) combined with a black leathercloth interior finished with anthracite carpet. Black mohair soft-top and a black vinyl cover. This beautiful Fiat 124 Sport Spider was sold new in the USA and imported into the Netherlands in June 1993. The complete American history including service invoices is available up to 1992. After arrival in the Netherlands, the Fiat was converted to European specifications, including the installation of chrome bumpers, European headlight units and a speedometer in km/h instead of miles. This early example proudly displays the 'Austin of England' emblem on the boot lid. This early BN1 example features a 3-speed manual gearbox with overdrive on 2nd and 3rd gear (actually 5 gears). The car was well restored more than 30 years ago and the car shows a unique classic color scheme. The car shows some signs of wear and age, but the car is in very good condition and drives perfectly! This beautiful Aston Martin DBS V8 was sold new in Great Britain, hence the steering position on the right side. The car was registered in the Netherlands in August 2009 and since 2019 the car has been cherished by the second Dutch owner. A total of 288 DBS V8 Series 2 cars were built from May 1972 to July 1973. This DBS V8 is the second Series 2 car built. When introduced in 1972, the Aston Martin DBS V8 was the fastest four-seater production car in the world, with a top speed of 256 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 160 km/h in less than 14 seconds! The Lancia Fulvia Coupé Rallye 1.3 HF is a rare and special competition car, only 882 examples were built from 1967 to 1969. The “Rallye HF” model is lightweight with a body made of thinner steel, an aluminum hood, aluminum door panels and Perspex rear windows . The car is a Rover P5B Mk 3 from 1968, equipped with the legendary Rover 3.5 liter V8 engine and a robust manually operated 5-speed gear box. Altena Classic Service sold the car to the current owner in 2010, since then the car has been maintained and kept up-to-date (before and after each rally event) by Altena Classic (Rally) Service.
