Stop by my vendor table at the free community expo held at Centerville High School on March 17th, St Patrick’s Day. I’ll be doing organizing demos and raffling off a free organizing class to held at my office. I’ll also be answering organizing questions from 11:00am – 3:00pm.
Stop Shuffling Business Cards...
You spent time networking and collecting business cards, but can you find them when you need them? To locate the right card faster, divide them into categories instead of organizing them alphabetically. Some of these categories may include: Clients, Prospects, Suppliers, Contractors, and Associations you belong to. By separating the business cards by how you associate with them, you save time and energy.
Way To Go Green...
It’s great to recycle printer paper by printing on the both sides of documents you no longer need. But first, take an extra second to cross out the side you no longer need. Time is often wasted figuring out what side of the document is the most current when searching for information. Think about someone trying to step into your shoes if need be. Would they know what side was most important to you?
Reader Tip...
This month’s tip comes from Jen Ramsey.
When organizing a room, listen to a book on tape or podcast. You’ll spend less time looking for excuses to leave the room and more time organizing since you won’t want to walk away.
