Dear classic car enthusiast,
Today I present to you twelve beautiful newly arrived classics, vintage cars and sports cars for sale and the progress of two restoration projects. At Amicale Facel Holland the body and chassis of the Facel II from the 'Palmen collection' are almost ready to be reassembled. At Classic Job the sheet metal restoration of the very bad Volvo P1800 S body has started!
The sales offer is English and Italian with a particularly nice selection of Alfa Romeo models to choose from! Very special British models are the Bentley 8-Liter from 1931 and the Jaguar XK 120 Alloy Roadster. The Bentley 8-Liter is the pinnacle of luxury from the pre-war Bentley history, and the XK 120 Alloy is the very first XK 120 model that served as a 'testbed' for the legendary Jaguar XK engine.

AMICALE FACEL HOLLAND: FACEL VEGA FACEL II RESTORATION

This impressive 1963 Facel Vega Facel II comes from the Palmen collection that was auctioned in 2023. The Facel Vega was the ultimate post-war French luxury car that was loved by the stars and other famous people in the sixties. This Facel II was part of the Palmen collection for about 40 years. The new American owner commissioned Amicale Facel Holland (AFH) to carry out a complete “body off” restoration to top condition. The body is now beautifully painted and the chassis is almost complete. The 'marriage' of chassis and body may be expected in the next update.

This Volvo P1800 S has been stripped by its owner. The bodywork is in the worst condition we have ever seen of a Volvo P1800 S. The sills, the back side and the boot floor are almost completely gone. Almost every piece of bodywork below the waistline needs bodywork repair. In a special bath, the bodywork was stripped of paint and glue residue. The extensive bodywork restoration has begun!

| JAGUAR XK 120 ALLOY ROADSTER, 1949 | |

Jaguar XK 120 Alloy OTS/Roadster, year 1949. A Heritage Certificate is present, confirming that the chassis and engine are factory original (‘matching numbers’). The cylinder head has been replaced in the past. The cream-coloured exterior and the light brown leather interior are almost identical to the colour scheme in which the car left the factory in 1949. The Jaguar XK 120 Alloy is a historically important collector's car that marks the introduction of the legendary Jaguar XK six-cylinder engine with twin overhead camshafts. This rare Jaguar XK 120 Alloy, with chassis number 670062, is car number 62 of the 242 'alloy' cars built. This XK 120 Alloy is one of 184 built with left-hand drive. The car was sold new in Cairo, Egypt, in December 1949. In 1996, the car was extensively restored, with invoices available that provide a good insight into the work carried out. In the late 1990s, the car was owned by Mr G.R. Lang, founder of Chronoswiss, the renowned watch manufacturer. During this period, the XK 120 Alloy played an important role in the company’s promotional material. The car comes with an FIA Historic Vehicle Identity Form and can be entered in any historic event in the world, including the legendary Mille Miglia. More information is available on the website.

Triumph TR 4, year 1962. Dark blue colour combined with a beige leather interior and matching carpets. Black soft top. This stunning Triumph TR 4 was extensively restored during the period 2014-2015. The car is in excellent condition and drives excellently. The Triumph TR 4 was designed by the Italian master designer Michelotti, and the car features an abundance of beautiful details. The white-painted metal dashboard is a striking feature of the early TR 4 model. This exceptional example is equipped with newly upholstered seats with headrests, Minilite-style alloy wheels with Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres, and a MotoLita steering wheel with a wooden rim. Alfa Romeo Alfasud, year 1979. First registration: 4 May 1979. Exterior colour: white (Bianco Capodimonte AR015) combined with a dark brown faux leather interior finished with dark brown carpeting. This beautiful Alfasud was sold new in Italy. Many decades later, this exceptionally original Alfasud was added to the collection of the chairman of the Alfa Romeo (Old Car) club. Recently, Montagna d'Oro acquired several magnificent cars from this collection, including this stunning Alfasud. The odometer currently reads 59,162 kilometres. The car is in excellent and super original condition and drives fantastically! Bentley 8 Litre Park Ward Limousine de Ville, year 1931. Exterior: black. Interior: brown leather combined with beige wool carpeting. The Bentley 8 Litre represents the pinnacle of British automotive engineering from the early 1930s. It was the ultimate chassis for bespoke luxury cars, designed for the global elite. Only 100 of these ultra-exclusive automobiles were produced, of which 78 still exist today. The example we proudly present here, with chassis number YF5022, is a unique masterpiece featuring a closed 'Limousine de Ville' bodywork for seven people, designed by Park Ward. This majestic limousine left the Bentley factory in March 1931 and was used for promotional purposes by Bentley Motors until September 1931. Today, this Bentley is in excellent original condition. Carefully inspected and maintained by vintage Bentley specialists at Altena Classic Service. At 94 years old, this impressive Bentley 8 Litre drives, steers, and brakes as if it just rolled out of the factory in March 1931! The fabric seat surfaces feature a cream-white/reddish brown checkered pattern. This beautiful Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 was sold new in Italy. The chairman of the Alfa Romeo (Old Car) club was its second owner. Recently, Montagna d'Oro acquired several magnificent cars from this owner’s collection, including this stunning Giulia 1300. MG MGB GT V8, year 1974. The engine is factory original, “matching numbers”. A certificate from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust is present to confirm this. Exterior colour black combined with a grey leather interior and black carpet. This beautiful MGB GT V8 is a rare and original “chrome bumper” V8, of which only 1856 examples were built. This powerful MGB V8 was sold new with right-hand drive and in the colour purple. The car has been restored and overhauled in the past, during which the car was painted black and converted to left-hand drive. The 3.5 litre V8 engine, gearbox, overdrive and rear axle have been overhauled. The engine has been tuned, a “free-flow” exhaust manifold, an oil cooler, electronic ignition and an electric fuel pump have been fitted. Since the restoration the car has driven 37,992 kilometres. In 2013 the car was purchased by Montagna d’Oro and sold to Germany. On October 31st, 2018 the car was registered in the Netherlands. In the last decade the interior was professionally reupholstered in the original style with the correct blue cloth and the engine was overhauled approximately 10,000 kilometres ago. The odometer currently reads 14,128 kilometres. The car is well documented. Approximately 5,000 units have been built, making the Flavia Coupé a rare classic. This MC TC was sold new in the USA and is currently registered in the Netherlands. This beautiful example has been restored in the past and the engine has been overhauled. The car is in a very good condition and drives excellent! This MG TC shows beautiful original details and some light traces of use. The mechanics have received some upgrades with the installation of a more powerful modern starter motor, modified (lighter and more precise) steering and a free flow exhaust manifold to improve engine performance. Light brown mohair soft-top and tonneau cover. This beautiful “Big Healey” was imported to the Netherlands in 2010. The car has been extensively restored and has been cherished by the last owner since 2013. The Austin Healey 3000 Mk III phase 2 is the last and most sought-after “Big Healey” model because of the upgrades the Mk III has received compared to the previous models. Like the Mk IIA, the Mk III has convenient roll-down side windows (instead of inlet windows) and an easy to operate convertible top. In addition, the Mk III has an improved rear suspension and a more luxurious interior with a newly designed wooden dashboard. This example was given a tough look by removing the chrome bumpers and adding small ‘bumperettes’ to the rear and cooling slots in the bonnet and in the wings.
