4th Annual Halloween Fundraiser
The days grow darker and the cold comes creeping into our bones — as the leaves fall, as the wind calls in the night, as winter wakes from his slumber and begins to gnaw at the door.  It is the perfect time for an evening of unsettling stories, stories that seep into your subconscious and into your dreams. We're talking about Spellbound, our 4th annual Halloween fundraiser at The John Palmer House in the Historic Mississippi District. It's going to be a remarkable experience and we hope that you will join us.

It's a fundraiser for us and a tax deduction for you!  Proceeds go to support the work of Portland Story Theater.
Click for tickets to Halloween at The John Palmer House Friday, October 26th and Saturday, October 27th.
Doors open at 7 PM with Silent Auction, Wine, and Refreshments.
Tickets start at $35 ... but you can donate more if you like.

The John Palmer House is the perfect setting for these very special stories that require a certain time and a certain place. Now in private ownership, The John Palmer House is not open to the public, so the only way you can tour this historic and haunted house is to come to Spellbound. Only 50 tickets will be sold each night. Small groups of listeners will go from room to room until they have seen the entire house and heard all the stories. This year features a fantastic lineup of narrative artists with true stories of the supernatural:  Lawrence Howard, Lynne Duddy, Tamara Lynne, Jeff Burke, and Mary Welch.

Auction Donations Needed
Last year we added our first silent auction to this event, and this year we are hoping to take it to the next level. We have solicited donations from businesses along Mississippi Avenue, and the Historic Mississippi Business Association has been wonderful, but we need more auction items to help us reach our fundraising goal. Can you help? If you have a business with a product or service that you'd like to donate, please let us know by October 16, 2012. In addition to our heartfelt gratitude, we will promote your business at the event with signs and mentions during the auction, as well as in email blasts to our nearly 2,000 fans. We will also put a back link from our site to yours to elevate your rankings in search results and drive traffic to your business.

Here is the link to our digital donor form that you can easily fill out and email or mail back to us. Your donations are also tax deductible. We will provide you with a formal letter for your tax return.

Aren't these little BEWITCHING BATS adorable? Each night we will sell 12 of these little guys. If you buy the right one, you will win a beautiful piece of jewelry!

Thank you so much for your generous support! Hope to see you at Spellbound!

May the narrative be with you,
Lawrence, Lynne, and Penny
