Isolationist black metal cult HRIZG makes its long-awaited return with “Individualism”. Ever aptly titled, “Individualism” sees this one-man band perfecting his iron-willed, iron-clad craft, contorting the otherworldly mysticism of ancient black metal to his own design. Compared to 2011's celebrated “Anthems to Decrepitude”, HRIZG's Individualism drives at both extremes - classic grimness vs. tense atonality - but arrives at a destination no less sepulchral and dynamic. Enter the realm of “Individualism”...
 
After the stunning full-lenght debut “Fulgures” (ATMF, 2007), the acclaimed, progressive and deep followup “Vega” (ATMF, 2008) and two compilations (“Black Metal Invitta Armata”, 2009, and “Önd – A Tribute to Enslaved”, 2012) italian act JANVS (or Janus, if you write it low case) is back with a new deal on Avantgarde Music. Being in the band’s mind for a long time, the re-recording of the 2004 demo “Nigredo” is a step in a new musical direction, yet deeply rooted in what made Janus such an interesting project.
Fully re-recorded by the complete lineup (Matteo Barelli, Claudio Fogliato and Massimo “M:A: Fog” Altomare) and rearranged to match the evolution of the last ten years, “Nigredo” is a haunting and dark shaded trip back in the first stage of a growing awareness.
The four original tracks from the 2004 demo are rebuilt from scratch paying great attention to the sounds and landscapes evocated by the rewritten lyrics. Custom made guitar and bass effects wrap their unique sound around the italian lyrics of “Imperium”, “Abisso”, “Rovina” and “Suicidio”.
You will follow them surrounded by the original drawings and artwork by Francesco Gemelli (that already painted for JANVS on the previous “Vega” booklet).
“Nigredo” features Ivar Bjørnson from Enslaved as guest guitarist on our “793” cover, and Palingenius (Gladio) as guest vocals on “Imperium”.

In the Glare of Burning Churches is the fifth demo album by the black metal band Graveland. Graveland's style started as raw Black Metal. Lyrically, on the early works Darken was inspired by Celtic beliefs. It was originally released in 1993, on cassette format, on Witching Hour Productions. Many have called this "The most hateful black metal demo of all time!" It was then re-released on No Colours Records in 1996 on CD format, and again on the same label and format in 1999 along with Epilogue. The demo is "inspired by 'Holy War' waged in Norwegian Black Metal underground against Christianity". In the Glare of Burning Churches will have four bonus tracks and remastering, in addition to new graphic design and a 20-page booklet featuring tributes from Nergal (Behemoth) and other black metal musicians. Sung in the Russian language, the lyrics are dedicated both to the present-day themes of the dominance of non-spirituality, and to the timeless philosophical questions. The 2nd CD is the album "Cosmogony And Eschatology" (2008), previously released as download only. This opus is dedicated to the Scandinavian mythology and shows completely different side of the band, particularly it's skills in working with analogue electronic sound. This is not purely an ambient work, here is enough space for pompous battle scenes, electro ritual atmospheres and noisy moments. Comes in a gatefold digisleeve with 8-page booklet.

Today, Serbian black metal barbarian PROVOCATOR reveals an art video for the song "7 Storms of Eternal Damnation." The track hails from the band's forthcoming debut album, Antikristus, set for release on August 19th via MORIBUND RECORDS. PROVOCATOR comes from the sick & twisted mind of BLEEDING FIST founder Hellscream, Antikristus his vilest and arguably most violent project yet. Across Antikristus, Hellscream conjures from his black-blood cauldron a hypnotic whirlwind of primitive, primal savagery that positively reeks of the ancient ways of black metal. But while reverent of the most diabolical works of Beherit, VON, and Sarcofago, PROVOCATOR imbues its blackout trance with a potent sense of ritualism and devil worship, a crude 'n' caustic pulse that aims to either possess or erase - or both. A statement from Hellscream reads: "The story started in 2012 when I started to put together all the old material that I never used for Bleeding Fist and was laying down in my closet for years, so I wrote the first EP, Darkness is Rising, which was released under the banner of Doomentia Records, strictly limited to 300 copies as a 7˝ vinyl. After that release, I was pretty much inspired in that old raw and morbid way of making music, so I decided to start putting together the full-length, which was written in a few days. After that, I booked the studio and recorded the whole album in a day. PROVOCATOR is simply a tribute to the old raw sound of the the first wave of black metal as Hellhammer, Blasphemy, VON, Bathory."
