STITCH LONDON IS ALL AROUND! EEK!

What will you do while you wait for Stitch London to rehatch? Stitch London has grown so huge (there are over 12000 of you!) that, in order to keep stomping, we're taking a break from our free teaching and our special event (though the normal Stitch Ups are still running). Fear not! Stitch London is still stomping along in these places:

Ravelry: Our online home is full of fabulous fibre-filled conversation. You can:

Twitter: We're tweeting the fabulous stitching things that we find to over 6600 knitty Twitter folks. If you find something fabulous tweet us @stitchlondon, and we'll retweet you. Twitter knitters are everywhere.

Facebook: There are over 2800 Stitch London likers on the Book of Face. Hop over and see what's going on over there. We've just had a bit of a makeover too.

Flickr: Add your pics to the Stitch London group so folks can oooooo and ahhhhh at them.

Enter the Badge Factor Competition: We'll keep this one going until we rehatch. So chuck your ideas at us. Ow! Not that hard!

Make London: You could support Stitch London by buying a copy of the Stitch London book, and make yourself a bit of London. There's a Baby Big Ben in there. Seriously.

Weekly London Stitch Up meetings: We're still meeting and stitching in central London. Join us!

What else can you do? Save our new address in your email: When we rehatch we'll be back as info@stitchLDN.com so please save it in your email Address Book. Or we'll be sent to spam. SPAM!?! How could you!?

Stitch London's ranks are packed full of amazing independent designers of knitting, crochet and sewing patterns. In future we're hoping to be able to feature loads of them, to support the wonderful woolly world of design. So we thought we'd start now. Meet Rock + Purl.

Rock + Purl is home of the jaw-droppingly lovely work of the marvellous Ruth Garcia-Alcantud. The R+P philosophy is simple: "You are what you knit" and if her patterns are anything to go by Ruth is a pretty impressive chick.

Ruth has been a member of the Stitch London ranks for a good long while, so when we asked if she'd like to be featured she was happy to share her stitching. She's offering you lucky Stitch Londoners the chance to win one of five copies of her much-coveted After Five knitting pattern.

WIN EVEN MORE STUFF! A HEAVENLY HANDMADE PROJECT BAG FROM THE UNDERCOVER OWL

Stitching on the go is a treacherous thing. Terrible things can happen: your yarn could end up tangled up with your keys so badly you end up locked out of your house wrapped in a copy of the London Metro for warmth till your other half gets home; that chocolate bar you were saving for a famished moment could melt all over your handwash-only merino when you're squashed up next to a sweaty stranger on the tube; your DPNs could jab through the bottom of your bag and impale the composed-looking business man next to you on the bus causing him to swing his briefcase unexpectedly and break your nose. AGH! The horror!

What you need is a project bag. Somewhere to safely store your current WIP and keep it there till you're ready to get your stitch on. Calling The Undercover Owl!

The Undercover Owl is a bit of a stitchy wonder when it comes to fabric. She conjures up the most marvellous project bags you'll ever lay eyes on, and she makes some nifty sets of stitch markers too. So you won't lose your place or your Work in Progress (WIP to those in the know).

When the Owl, otherwise known as Sarah Leavesley, found out Stitch London were having a rehatching free-stuff fiesta she offered 3 sets of her splendierous Large Project Bags and Stitchmarkers to three lucky winners. Huzzah!

Want to win one? Here's what you need to do:

Answer this question...

What do the letters WIP stand for in knitting and crochet?

A: Work in progress
B: Whales in ponchos
C: Watery ink-stained potato
D: Woolly igloo party

Drop us an email at winstuff@stitchLDN.com with:

• The subject line"My WIP needs HELP!" (Please make sure you enter the right subject otherwise your entry might get missed)
• Answer A, B, C or D
• Your full name, address and the email you wish to be contacted on (if different from the one you're sending from)

As with most Stitch London competitions anyone can enter. Even if you live outside the UK. The deadline for the competition is 23 March at 8pm.
