Let's Read: Flagship L.A. Works Volunteer Project
|
|
You are receiving this message because you expressed interest or participated in the long-term LA Works program, "Let's Read" at an earlier date.
As you may know, Let's Read, Pueblo del Rio has been one of our flagship volunteer projects since the early days of LA Works.

Summer session starting soon
|
Let's Read @ Pueblo is starting up the last Saturday in May (the 28th), and if you've never come before there will be an orientation for new volunteers the prior Saturday (the 21st). It meets for most of the morning, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:15.
Given that Let's Read, during a given session, meets weekly, it works best if you can come for the entire 10 weeks.
However, given the program's need for your help, if you can offer several Saturdays during the session, that would still be great.

We can really use your help!
|
There have been hundreds of volunteers who have had fun while making a real long-term difference with the youngsters at Pueblo del Rio.
While it's not for everyone since it meets, during a 10-week session, every weekend, those who participate have a real impact on the Pueblo del Rio kids.
The kids of this community deserve a shot at a meaningful future so their dreams have a better chance of being reached. You can help get them there. Uziel, Amber, Bryan, Maritza, and so many other deserving, curious, but at-risk kids are hoping to meet you on May 28th!

Please contact the project leader, David Trilling prior to signing up (since we both know you're itching to :)). He can provide more details. So please give a call at 323-933-8910 or email him with your
phone number at davidtrilling@att.net. He's so hoping to hear from you soon (and so hoping you'll have some if not every Saturday morning free in late May, all of June, and all of July).
