Rocky Mountain Tree Trimming

Rocky Mountain Power will be in Huntsville during the month of April. Keeping trees away from power lines is one of the most important ways to ensure you and your neighbors receive reliable electric service. It also helps keep you and their employees safe.

Tree crews will prune trees on your property to provide clearance of at leat 10-16 feet of the overhead power lines. They will remove, prune, or treat the trees. The main trunk and large limbs will be left for your use. In addition, brush and trees that are under 6-inches in diameter and not intentionally planted as part of the landscape will be removed. To improve crew efficienty, some brush may be left on your property overnight. They will return promptly to pick it up.

They offer coupons to replace incompatible trees with utility friendly species that you can plant in appropriate locations on your property. Talk to the forest technician about this option. This service is provided at no cost to you.
