Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
RICHES BEYOND MEASURE
He lives to grant me rich supply. These words from the hymn "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" remind us of Psalm 23:1, "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want." For myself the calming words are "rich supply" and "not want".
If you had a multi-billionaire friend at your side on a daily basis who said, "Ask, whatever you want, I will give it to you", would you go through the day, or go through life asking nothing? Hardly.
Remember, your Redeemer is right there by you, and remember that the heavenly Father has placed, all things under His feet. So, since these two things are fact and true, as you and I go through life, there is Jesus with all of His treasures at your right side. The Lord came to Solomon, "Ask, and I will give you." Jesus said, "Whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you." There it is, the rich supply, the not wanting.
While we may think of many things, most of which probably pertain to this world, the rich treasures of our Lord Jesus He gives to us daily are: the constant assurance that our sins are forgiven, and His righteousness. Also along with those two treasures, the certainty of eternal life. All sins have been forgiven. His righteousness alone covers me. It is "my glorious dress!" Because He lives, I live, and heaven is my destination. I know! Jesus said so.
