You are receiving this email because you have expressed interest in volunteering for Art House Productions' JC Fridays festival. We could **really** use some enthusiastic, community-minded folks on board to lend a hand on June 1st. Join our JC Fridays Street Team!!!
WHAT
Our JC Fridays Street Team will visit a couple of JC Fridays events on Friday, June 1st. You can choose one of the following team areas:
1. Bergen/Lafayette
2. Greenville
3. Grove St. / non-PATH locations
4. Hamilton Park
5. The Heights
6. McGinley Square
7. Journal Square
8. Newark Avenue
9. Newport
10. Paulus Hook
11. Powerhouse Arts District
12. West Side
13. Van Vorst Park
Go to jcfridays.com and see which area appeals to you most. If you have a car, please consider choosing a team location outside of downtown. If you choose a team location where there is only one event happening on June 1st, please consider a 2nd team location as well.
WHY
Our Street Team has a very important task. We need to create a picture of what JC Fridays looks like, what impact it is having in our community. This is VITAL, ESSENTIAL, and VERY VERY VERY NECESSARY in order to KEEP JC FRIDAYS ALIVE! With major cuts in arts funding, this work is our effort to secure a future for JC Fridays, a festival that provides opportunities for artists, business for local shops, and free arts events for the community.
YOUR TASK
We will provide you with the clip boards/papers. You will be your friendly, outgoing selves and ask people for their zip codes while they are at the events you attend. If there is anything else they'd like to say about JC Fridays, write it down. That's it. Before you leave a venue, fill out a brief form that will help us understand what the event looked like in terms of audience/program. DONE! That's it! Your donation of a few hours makes a HUGE impact on the future of of JC Fridays.

MAKE IT EVEN MORE FUN!
Bring a friend! Sometimes people feel a little weird about going up to people and asking a question -- bringing friends along can help by making it a shared experience. Also, remember that you are making a huge difference by being a Street Team rep! And that there are many people across the city on June 1st doing the exact same thing in support of the arts in our community!!!!
