The Weekly Hash Headlines from Newcastle Hash House Harriers

Hare: Gandalf

Hashers gathered outside the ever popular Keelman pub, on a lovely sunny evening. With a micro brewery on site what's not too like about this venue for the hash.

The hare brought the hash to order  at 7.01pm sharp and the hashers sped off into the park and along the riverside to the accompaniment of church bells and the gentle swishing of oars on the river.

Abandoning the back of the pack to their fate, the hash pressed on into woodland, admiring the views and being at one with nature.  The route then looped back into cycle way and the group headed behind the pretty cottages that boarded Blayney row and the coke mines beyond. A hash flash, a quick meet and greet with the walkers who had already completed their route and a slightly depleted running group later, headed onto the The Boatman beer stop for lashings of water, wet dogs and conversations about Arsenal.  Eventually as the sun sank behind the trees, the group headed back to the The Keelman for an uproarious circle referencing, Fannymagnets, sandwich munchers, and deniable truths involving last weeks shiggy  before moving  into the pub for additional drinkies.
