Monday, January 16, 9-11AM - Bird Explorers for Teens with Patterson Park Audubon
Over 200 bird species have been to Patterson Park! Now students can join Audubon as citizen scientists!  A teen expert will lead us as we collect data on urban bird species and share our findings with the greater scientific community. No experience necessary. Service learning hours for student scientists!  Grades 6-12 ∙ Free!

Sunday, January 29, 11:00am         Leader: Tim Houghton,  Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge
Take a trip with Tim to the Blackwater NWR on the eastern shore. You will search for Tundra Swans, Snow Geese, Brown-headed Nuthatches, wintering ducks, and other avian treasures. Join Ruth and Tim for dinner
after the trip to compare birds lists and tally the results. Bird Monitoring at Pickering Creek
Do you enjoy watching birds? You are invited to participate in two ongoing volunteer Bird monitoring programs at Pickering Creek. Volunteers of all abilities are welcome.

Third Monday each month, 8:00-10:00 am
Join an experienced birder on the 3rd Monday of each month from 8-10am for e-Bird monitoring along the Center’s trails
 
Wednesdays and Thursdays, November 16-April 7  Enjoy watching and recording bird sightings from the comfort of the office on Wednesdays and Thursdays for project Feederwatch starting on November16.  Call 410-822-4903 for information or to volunteer.
