The Mighty Manatees will be off the road until 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 8th, beside the Lansdale, PA train station. The band will play a free, 90-minute, outdoor, all-ages show as part of the "Music On Main Street Lunchtime Concert Series". Much thanks to Carl Saldutti.
The next day, (Thurs., Sept. 9), The Mighty Manatees will headline a triple-bill at the barn beside The Rising Sun in Telford, PA. Also featured are Jason Crosby & Megan Palmer and a very special appearance by the Irish singer-songwriter Shana Morrison (Van Morrison's daughter). Tickets are $10. Music starts at 8:00.

Earlier that morning, Shana and her band, (including Manatee bassist Randy Wagner and Manatee drummer Jim Cavanaugh), will appear on "The 10 Show", on NBC Channel 10 at 10:30 AM. Much thanks to Slacker.
And speaking of Randy, his daughter Carlee and her boyfriend Cole have an entry in the Red Bull Flugtag, www.redbullflugtagusa.com Their entry is called "Flightless Flight Test" and is #13 (out of 33 entries). This annual event takes place at the Camden Waterfront on Sat., Sept. 4th from 11:00 - 3:00. Come on out and cheer them on!
And speaking of Randy, his church band New Church Live is playing a benefit concert for Habitat For Humanity with The Mighty Manatees. Manatee Fun Fact: Did you know that Manatees drummer Ras Michael recently cut off all of his 2-foot dreadlocks? It's true! It was a job-related decision and done for safety reasons.
All of us here were saddened to hear of the passing of Little Feat drummer Richie Hayward. He was one of the greats and we will cherish our memories of once having the chance to record with him. "Play On, Drummer."
