Ce Dimanche, c’est Rachaya Al-Wadi qui nous ouvre ses bras. Rencontrer cette région aux mille secrets nous vaudra un réveil matinal, mais quelle récompense pour celui qui s’y aventure ! Nous quitterons Beyrouth et son chaos à 7h le matin, Destination Ain Ata : Ici, nous troquerons nos chaussures de citadin pour celles du vagabond. En route vers Rachaya, nous découvriront Le sanctuaire druze « Maqam el-Cheikh el-Fadel », le lac de Ain Ata, le Temple romain du village de Ain Harcha (113/114 avant J.C.), Mazraat el Faqaa ainsi qu’un ancien pressoir. Notre sentier serpentera la plaine, sous l’œil bienveillant de Jabal El-Cheikh ; le majestueux Mont Hermon aux flancs encore enneigés. Enfin, pour couronner la journée, aucun repas de roi ne saura rivaliser face au déjeuner champêtre « Rachaya style», préparé in situ par les dames du village.

Le rendez-vous est à 7:30 am précise au parking qui est près de l’urgence de l'hôpital du Sacré Cœur à Hazmieh. Pour y arriver prendre la bifurcation à droite juste apres Pain d'Or. C'est le 1er parking a votre gauche. Soyez Ponctuels !

This Sunday, Rachaya Al-Wadi opens its arms. Visiting this region with a thousand secrets will bring us an early morning awakening, but what a reward for the one who ventures there! We will leave Beirut and its chaos at 7am, Destination Ain Ata: Here we will exchange our city shoes for those of the vagabond. On the way to Rachaya, we will discover the Druze sanctuary "Maqam el-Sheikh el-Fadel", the Ain Ata lake, the Roman temple of the village of Ain Harcha (113/114 BC), Mazraat el Faqaa and an ancient press. Our path will wind , under the benevolent eye of Jabal El-Sheikh; The majestic Mount Hermon with its snow-capped sides. Finally, to crown the day, no king's meal will be able to compete against the special rural lunch "Rachaya style", prepared in situ by the ladies of the village.

walking shoes, sunglasses, sun screen, hat + cap, meal (sandwiches, chocolate, dried fruits), lot of water, back pack, wind breaker (K-way) or anorak,.
Cost: 50$ (or 75 000 LBP) covering guides, transportation and insurance. (Kindly bring the exact change).
Meeting: is at 7:00 am at the parking next to the Emergency Entrance of the Sacré Cœur hospital Hazmieh. To reach it, turn right towards Pain d'Or. The Parking is the 1st one on you left. Please, be on time!
