RANGER REPORT & April 24, 2007

"We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be."
-Kurt Vonnegut (1922-2007)

Ok, so I get an afternoon phone call a couple of weeks ago and it's Manatee guitarist/vocalist Joe "Jozo" Rizzo over in London, England.

"Go to the Abbey Road site and click on the Abbey Road Web-cam", says England Joe.

And sure enough I can see Jozo standing outside Abbey Road Studios right on that street from the famous Beatles album cover. And he's waving at me! I've still got him on the phone so I say,

"Hey, jump up and down!"

And Jozo jumps up and down! It was wild! A very 21st century moment.

Jozo has since returned from the U.K. ("'ello Jozo.") and will be performing with us this Friday night (April 27) at The Sandtrap in Limerick, PA, and this Sunday night (April 29) at The Bridgeport Rib-House in Bridgeport, PA.

You can see a song from our show at The Sellersville Theater by going to www.YouTube.com and searching for Los Manatees. Thanks to Uncle Ronkle who filmed and recorded the whole concert and thanks to Bob Rominecki for the kosmic light show. After our set we got a chance to jam with Mike Guldin & Rollin' & Tumblin' and that was a lot of fun. We will be putting up some more of that show soon. The benefit was a big success and lots of money was raised for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's 3 Day Walk. Thanks to everyone who attended and thanks to Mike and the boys for letting us be a part of this good work.

Los Manatees was back in the studio recently putting the finishing touches on our long-awaited studio CD - "Long Awaited". Manatee drummer Jim Cavanaugh and young singer/songwriter Kyle Wareham, from the band "Three Legged Fox", helped us out with some over-dubbed hand claps.

Coming up in two weeks on Friday May 11, Los Manatees will be making their triumphant return to Crazy Carl's in Schwenksville, PA! We will be headlining a four-band line-up. Upstairs will be the Phish tribute band "Simple" www.myspace.com/simplephish Opening for "Simple" will be Bohemian Sunrise www.bohemiansunrise.com Downstairs opening for us is the reggae quartet "Inity" www.myspace.com/inity Four bands! Along with Crazy Carl's new in-house PA and light show it promises to be quite a night...And positive vibes out to Crazy Carl who is battling lukemia.

The first outdoor Fitzwater Station show of the year is Sunday, May 20 at 4:00 in the afternoon. Los Manatees will be joined by Ted The Fiddler.

That's all for now.

Peace,
Ranger Will
