Hello, Firstname

Wednesday 6 July

Next Wednesday, 6 July, we welcome Robert Harvey ARPS EFIAP, who will be presenting his talk:

Photographing Wiltshire: Wiltshire’s landscape encompasses quintessential scenes; whale-backed chalk hills, exquisite Cotswold villages, England’s finest landscape garden and quirky white horses, together with the world’s largest and most famous stone circles.
There is much to delight the photographer here. Yet compared to other parts of the West Country, most of the county remains relatively little photographed. In this talk, accompanying my book of the same title, I will share its secrets.

BPS NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT!
PAGB Interclub PDI Competition at Warwick
Saturday 16 July - PAGB Inter-Club PDI Championship at Warwick University

It's a great day out and a chance to support your club, see some of the best images in the Country and to meet photographers from around the rest of Great Britain - so come on, open the padlock on your wallet and buy your tickets now!

The above competition is one of the most keenly fought events in the calendar.
The TOP TWO clubs from each regional federation competition win the right to represent themselves, their members and their region in this annual national battle.

In the 2021 national competition we competed against 50+ other clubs from across GB, eventually finishing 8th

That final position, ie 8th, guaranteed us qualification at this year’s championship, but not being complacent we underlined our right to be there with our win in DPIC at the beginning of this year.

Tickets for this year’s battle are available now via the PAGB website – costing £12:50.

Come and join us in the audience and lend us your support. We’ve earned our place, let’s see if we can better last year’s outcome.

Irrespective of where we finish, it will be a great day filled with the very best images from the very best photographers in the country.

Trumpet Bowers' Corner
The Edinburgh International Exhibition is arguably one of the toughest international print exhibitions to get an acceptance in. Irrespective of how many prints are entered, only 200 are accepted. However, two BPS members have managed just that this year, with Mike Martin had a mono print accepted and Sue O'Connell had three prints accepted including a Salon HM - well done to both.

Salon acceptances:
Contrary to popular belief, I do not possess psychic powers and need you to tell me if you've had successes. If you want to blow your own trumpet (or someone else's), then this is the place to do it. Please let me know and I'll include details in a future issue

Items For Sale
If you have any photographic items for sale, drop me a line and I'll include it in the next newsletter. Please make sure that you provide contact details, price and full description of the sale items (pictures always help).

IMPORTANT: Personal Detail Changes
Please don't forget that if you change your address (home or email), or gain additional photographic distinctions, it would be appreciated if you could let the Membership Secretary know so that she can keep her records up to date, this will also ensure that you continue to receive your newsletters - please email all changes to membership@bristolphoto.org.uk

The distinctions we have on record are those shown at the top of this newsletter, please remember, if you don't tell us we can't possibly know!
