10th Annual Crossroads Irish-American Festival Featuring
PATRICK COTTER & MATTHEW SWEENEY
Thursday, April 18 at 7 PM
We're happy to welcome two outstanding Irish poets for an inspiring evening:
Patrick Cotter, who was born and raised in Cork, is a writer of many talents. In addition to his two poetry collections (Perplexed Skin and Making Music),
he has published several chapbooks, a verse novella, several pieces of
short fiction, and a play. His poems have been widely anthologized.
Matthew Sweeney is an award-winning poet who was born in Lifford,
Co. Donegal. He has written poetry collections for both adults and children, and his
most recent collection is Horse Music (Bloodaxe, 2013). Sweeney has held several
fellowships and writer-in-residence positions, and was nominated for the T.S. Eliot award for Black Moon (2007).
