Our speaker next week is another midlander, Colin Trow-Poole FIPF DPAGB FRPS who is a member of the Arden Group in Solihul. Colin's talk is entitled "People and Places" which is a prints talk with both mono and some colour prints covering portraits, landscapes, documentary and Bromoil etc..

This week's Star Picture was sent in by Peter Brisley ARPS and was taken in Trulli in Puglia (Italy)

Next Monday is the monthly meeting of the DI Group. As usual all members are welcome, even more so if you can bring along some pictures, either prints or projected images (jpeg on memory sticks only please).

Faces of Theatre: Portrait Photography by Angus McBean and John Vickers
11 – 15 of November at the Drawing Room, Royal Fort House, University of Bristol BS8 1UJ
As part of the InsideArts: Festival of the Arts and Humanities week, the University of Bristol Theatre Collection is excited to announce the opening of their forthcoming exhibition Faces of Theatre: Portrait Photographs by Angus McBean and John Vickers. A collaborative venture between the Theatre Collection and students of the University Faces of Theatre will display some exceptional examples from the famous photographer Angus McBean and his less well known associate John Vickers. A remarkable body of work from both photographers is held at the Theatre Collection and the exhibition will provide the public with an opportunity to see some of these prints brought together for the first time. For one week only, they are on display in the magnificent setting of the University’s Royal Fort House. Poster attached.
