Flowers are in full bloom and all of the colors are inspiring us to knit. If you know us, you know how much we love color and summer is the perfect time for color exploration, experimenting with color combinations you have never before considered, or picking up a set of mini-skeins to play around with. We have added quite a few beautiful handdyed yarns to the shop including some inspired by the national parks (another favorite summertime activity of ours) and others inspired by some of our favorite summer activities so whether you are traveling this summer or stuck in town and want to pretend to take a trip, we have you covered.

Our Summer classes are live and we have a huge selection of vacation-friendly single session classes with small projects and techniques perfect for the warmer months.

Quick reminder, if you did a knit or crochet tracker for the month of May, get those turned into us by June 6 to be eligible for our drawing for a $50 ReBelle gift certificate. You can turn them into us in person or snap a picture with your phone and email it to us at rebellegirls@gmail.com.

New In The Shop

We are super excited to welcome Ruby & Roses into our shop. Addy is an indie dyer out of Indiana (we guess you could say she is an Indie Indy dyer) who started dying solo in her parents garage and now has a studio, 3 assistants, and a husband who runs the business side of things. Her colors are full of whimsy and she is known for her limited edition special collections (such as the Taylor Swift inspired colors we brought in with our first order.) We currently have her Plump Rose base in both sock sets and single skeins.
June's Crazy Beautiful Color of the month from Emma's Yarns a speckly mix of late day clouds and warm sunshine. The color choices here are giving the kind of summer vibes that have us looking forward to the warm days coming our way.

As usual, the color plays well with a huge variety of coordinating colors! Pictured here (top to bottom) with Kale, Be Hoppy, Limoncello, Thai Tea, Where’d That Man-go?, Oops, I Did It Again!, Down The Rabbit Hole, Jammin’, & Fame & Fortune.

Every month from May-August, Knitted Wit will release 4 new colorways inspired by National Parks areas, such as National Recreation Areas, Heritage sites, etc.

For June we have (from left to right) Wupatki National Monument, Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, and Stonewall National Monument. We have a few hanks left of May's colors in case you missed out.

As usual, there is a Passport to track your parks purchases from us and other local yarn shops as you travel through the summer. At the end of the summer, there will be a commemorative patch for those with four filled squares and an enamel pin for those with all sixteen.

We are excited to welcome local dyer, Maps Yarns, into the shop! Conley Kinkead is a fiber artist and cartographer (hence the name,) living in Lexington, Ky. She dyes her yarns in small batches and only uses yarn bases she loves working with herself. As a knitter for half her life, Conley understands the importance of working with yarns you enjoy.

Conley has also released her first pattern, the Dandelion Halter Bralette, which is a size-inclusive halter top that uses one hank of her sock yarn, it's the perfect project for her summer-y colorways.

Events at ReBelle

For those needing a project for the warmer months, we are doing our annual Sweet Summer Top Knit/Crochet along for the month of June. Robyn created a Ravelry bundle with several pattern ideas if you need some help finding the perfect pattern. She is also available if you need help finding a pattern for a particular yarn.

All ReBelle knit/crochet alongs are free and open to the public and you can attend as many or as few sessions as you like.
