Deborah Starling-Pollard's essay is included in a new anthology of women's writings
that will be in bookstores in August 2011, called;
The Moment I Knew:  Reflections from Women on Life's Defining Moments
published by Sugati Publications.

The anthology includes authors from nine countries in all including the US.  The Moment I Knew has essays and poems coming from six countries and three continents.  The authors are from the United States, Canada, England, Trinidad, Bulgaria and Thailand. 

Debbie is a playwright, novelist, songwriter, vocalist with the Flow band and Confluence jazz band, social worker and Community Organizer.  She holds a bachelors degree in Social Work and a Master's degree in Fine Arts in Creative writing. 

Debbie gives all honor, glory and praise to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his many blessings and is most proud of her work with the dynamic women of the Ujamaa Collective as their Artistic Director.
