NEWS & ADVENTURES of a philosophical folk songstress mama                         ~ January 2014

My Dear Ones,

Welcome to 2014, and welcome those of you new to these newsletters. I like to send a note out every month to let you know what I'm up to, and while I'm not always able to answer, I love hearing from you too.

Here in California, people are doing rain dances. Spring buds are arriving on tree branches and still we have had no winter. The changes in climate are deeply unsettling and water becomes more precious each day.

Meanwhile, I still believe that the path towards a better world begins in the heart and at home. So once again I have put together The Valentine Songologues, raising awareness and funds for two different women's programs, working to end sexual assault and domestic violence. There will be TWO shows this year - one in the San Fransisco Bay Area, and one in the Santa Cruz area. I hope you will join us!

Some other VERY exciting news is that we will be going to EUROPE in May! If you have any suggestions of places to play, friends with whom we may stay, or know someone who may be interested in hosting a house concert, please let us know. We will be visiting France, Switzerland, Germany, Ireland, and of course, Pete's home country, England.

Thank you for sharing this journey. It is an unknown road ahead of us, but at least we have our hearts, our music, and each other...

as always, with Peace, Love, & Music
