Baritone Ukulele song

Have you ever watched the Big Bang Theory? It's a television show. Sheldon, my favorite character always finds a need to explain why he does what he does. So you should know that even though this email has been numbered from 5 to 1, it bears no relevance to the significance of each individual occurrence. Starting with 5 is simply an age-old routine used to build anticipation in the mind of the recipient. If numbered and ordered correctly, Nigeria would have been placed at #1, but was instead placed at an unavoidable #3 and spared from the very bottom of the page. Its all just so complicated! :)

Hello Everyone!

It's officially fall!  If you actually opened this email and are reading these words, then congratulations! Prepare yourself; there is an excessive use of exclamation marks in this newsletter. I've been wanting to update you for a while...but in an attempt to email less frequently, I've held my tongue...all for this moment :)  Of course, many of you are following on Facebook, Twitter & YouTube.
Which brings me to #5 (yes, we're going backwards).

#5  I have a New Instrument!
It will surely take me some time to learn it well, but I am enjoying learning the Baritone Ukulele. I like to call it "Baby Guitar". I've written a couple songs already. Here is one I posted online a few weeks ago.

#4  I am Writing a Chapter in a Book!
My good friend in Lancaster, Ned Bustard, of Square Halo books recently published, "It Was Good: Making Art to the Glory of God", with contributed chapters from artist such as Charlie Peacock and Makoto Fujimura. I've been reading it and I'm really looooving it! I suggest you check it out. In any case, I will be adding a chapter to the sequel "Making Music to the Glory of God".

#3 I am Going To NIGERIA!!!!
Yes! In one month from today, I'll be leaving on that midnight train to...errr...Africa! I am very excited (can you tell) to go back after 14 years, to see family, and to have a true change of scenery. And I will have my flip camera with me, so you'll get to see that change of scenery as well :)

#2 Peace is Coming to Pittsburgh!
Yes, if you're in Pittsburgh this weekend, then you don't want to miss my sister and her band, The Peace Project. They'll be at Club Cafe this Saturday for what promises to be an excellent evening of music. Details here.  (of course if you're in Philly, her new home, you can see her any time)
