Software Warning
I have received the following from Pete McCloskey, and is a salutary warning to members who use the well known disk utility CCleaner:

This might be warning members not to use CCleaner. I decided to get the Professional version.
It said I had 9 drivers to update. I pressed 'update' and after some time it said ' restart'. When I tried to restart, I had a major warning and I could not start the PC. I had to take it to a specialist to get it going again, but I had to reload all the programmes and data was lost, Apparently, this problem is well known. It has also been blacklisted by Microsoft.
I believe the free version is OK, but the paid for version should be avoided.
I am slowly getting up and running and will keep more data on separate drives.

There have been several warnings in computer magazines advising users to steer clear of the program.

WCPF Knightshayes Trophy Competition 2022
This is the link to download the P2E Sequence for Windows containing all the entrants and winners of the Knightshayes Trophy Competition 2022. It is controlled by the arrow keys and would make an interesting addition to a club evening
Please note, a MAC version is not available. this only works on Windows based systems.

Trumpet Bowers' Corner
Sue O’Connell has had an image short-listed in the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2022. Despite the title, this is nothing to do with apples, instead it is a very wide ranging competition to celebrate the very best in food photography and film from around the world, with 25 categories representing the many ways food touches our lives. Sue’s entry is in the Clare Aho Award for Women Photographers category, which has been set up in memory of Finland’s greatest woman photographer. Finalists are now being judged - fingers crossed!

Salon acceptances: BPS photographers are now achieving large numbers of salon acceptances and constraints on time and space mean we can't include them all. So please only advise of awards or other milestones.
Contrary to popular belief, I do not possess psychic powers and need you to tell me if you've had successes. If you want to blow your own trumpet (or someone else's), then this is the place to do it. Please let me know and I'll include details in a future issue
