Matthew 26:18 "Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, 'The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.'"
MY APPOINTED TIME
Our God is a God of order, not of chaos. He is a God who plans, not a God who leaves things to chance.
When Adam and Eve ruined the original creation, God planned to send the human race a Savior from its sin. When that Savior was born to Mary, the Father again saw to it that it happened at just the right time (Galatians 4:4-5), according to His plan.
Shortly before His death, Jesus told His disciples, "My appointed time is near." Thus when Christ was taken outside Jerusalem and nailed to His cross, it was the right time for that too. That too was part of God's plan.
What does this mean for you? Is it not a comfort that God has planned your own salvation right down to the last detail? Even the details of timing are in His hands. For your "appointed time" is coming too -- the day of your own death. Thankfully, on that day you will find a God who has planned to receive you into His eternal kingdom. He will be ready for you when the time is right.
