IAHF List: Gerald Kessler of Nature's Plus vitamins hired the lawfirm Hyman, Phelps and McNamara to analyze the FDA's recent ban on ephedra. They have determined that the FDA's ban is blatantly illegal. See their interpretation at http://www.nha2004.com/pdf/ephedraTrouble.pdf
This is a clear indicator that unless the ban on ephedra is overturned in court, the FDA will start banning still more dietary supplements in the USA using this as a legal precedent.
That we are at war cannot be disputed, yet how many continue to bury their heads in the sand?

I just received an announcement from the National Academy of Science that a meeting will be taking place this week in Washington DC at which NAS will be releasing the final draft of a document they were commissioned to create by the FDA. The document is "A Framework to Evaluate the Safety of Dietary Supplements"
IAHF will be monitoring this meeting via an ally in the District of Columbia who will be in attendance for the sake of asking questions.
Its not hard to see the writing on the wall.
The FDA will attempt to ban as many supplements as they can, and will encourage congress to repeal DSHEA.
That battle looms on the horizon, but at the same time, the FDA is engaging in a pincer movement- they have already set us up to lose in a future WTO Trade Dispute via the whitewashed oversight hearing on the Codex vitamin issue on March 20, 2001- a hearing that I pushed for for 5 years- to no avail.
The only way Americans can now protect their access to supplements is to assist the Alliance for Natural Health http://www.alliance-natural-health.org with donations so that they can take their lawsuit on to the EU Court of Justice in Luxemborg. They CAN win there, they have the best lawfirm in Europe in their corner. On March 20, 2001 I witnessed their historic legal victory in the EU Court of Justice in Luxemborg at which they got a referral from the Judge to go on to the European Court of Justice.
