Sub: Tender Information for Procurement of Agricultural Machinery
This is to inform you that the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Nairobi, Republic of Kenya has shared an Expression of Interest for Procurement of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment under the National Mechanization Program. Detailed information on the procurement bidding is linked below.
The National Mechanization Program seeks to provide farm machinery equipment and related implements as well repair, maintain and construction of new grain handling facilities and infrastructure. This level of mechanization among the farming community will provide the necessary support to scale up farming operations in Kenya, making agricultural production commercially viable and competitive.
In this regard, the Kenyan Government is willing to collaborate with established agricultural machinery and equipment manufacturers with capacity to mobilize required resources in supporting this initiative.

1. Detailed Company Profile
2. Copies of Certificate of Incorporation/Registration certificate
3. Tax Compliance Certificate
Requirements for Potential Program Partners
1. The machinery and equipment manufacturers MUST have local presence in Kenya, or must be willing to set up local presence in the country;
2. The machinery and equipment manufacturers MUST demonstrate ability to mobilize concessionary funds to finance this Program;
3. The firm should demonstrate experience in carrying out similar assignments and with evidence.
4. The Partners Country of Origin MUST have a Bilateral Agreement with Kenya in support of Agricultural Mechanization;
5. The Partners will be required to demonstrate ability to offer post sale support services to the program;
6. Technology transfer is envisaged to the Kenyan beneficiaries of the machinery and equipment; and
7. Ability to support the Program as Independent Entities.
Completed Expression of Interest (EOI) documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked “EOI FOR PROCUREMENT OF AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT”.
The completed tender documents should be posted to reach the address mentioned below on or before 23rd October, 2023 at 1100 Hours Kenyan Time.
