Spring News

Greetings! Spring is here at last!
I'm embracing big-time colour at the moment. The beach at Sandsend on the Yorkshire Coast is inspiring me. I'm sketching outside and then in the studio. I love drawing and making marks using brushes, sticks and all sorts of tools on the canvas during the course of a painting. Here are some raw videos of progress in my studio - view HERE>

EXHIBITIONS
It's great to be exhibiting with my artist friend Paddy Smith in Helmsley Arts Centre, Yorkshire
this April. We're showing paintings inspired by the landscape of Yorkshire and beyond. Our work is different, but we share the same outlook on painting. The show starts on April 5th until 29th.

There will be a private view in early May - and a special luncheon for guests. I'll be revealing more details about this show soon ...

Decayed walls, pipes, reams of 1930s fabrics, immense windows, wild ferns taking over and beautiful textures and colours set me off for next year ... LIFELINES is a show I'm doing at the mill next year with artists Kate Kenney and Lesley Seeger -- more soon ...
