The Scotland Island Bushcare Group This group need your help. By playing an active role in the preservation of Elizabeth Park you will be protecting this wonderful bushland environment for the future. The work of the volunteers will help to complement the bush regeneration being undertaken by the council contractors. Tools and materials along with technical advice and support will be supplied by council. Afternoon teas is provided. Enjoy an afternoon of bush regeneration with your local community. Please bring hat, gloves, water and insect repellant. For further information contact the Bushcare Officer on 9970-1250. Future dates: March 3rd (Saturday) and April 7th (Saturday) Pittwater's Tourism and
Community Information Service, located within Mona Vale Library,
urgently needs Volunteers. We only require your services for three
hours each fortnight. Internet training is now available at Mona Vale Library. One-hour sessions are limited to 3 people, at a cost of just $25 per person or $20 per person for 2 or more (GST inclusive). Using the Web’s Free Email Services Effectively, designed to show you how to use web-based free email services such as Hotmail, will be held on the third Thursday of the month from 3-4pm commencing 15 February. Getting Started on the Internet, designed for those who have little or no experience with the world wide web, will held on the first Monday of the month from 10-11am commencing 5 March. give themselves and their dogs a holiday by taking advantage of a
"Bali Special" offered by Pittwater Council's Boarding
Kennels. The
"Doggy Bali Holiday Special" offers seven nights boarding
for the cost of only five, with fees ranging from as low as $14 per
night (plus GST). Check-in Monday-Friday is 9am-2pm, Saturday 9am-1pm;
Check-out Monday-Friday is 8am-3pm, Saturday 8am-2.30pm. This
innovative special will be just the thing for those times when dog
owners want a week away themselves, but cannot take their family pet
with them. Holidaying
pooches will be given three walks a day, as well as other activities
such as ball games and playing with their mates, and large doses of
"TLC" (tender loving care). Dogs
must walk well on a lead, and must be vaccinated, including kennel
cough and monthly heartworm treatment, with a certificate shown on
admission. Fees are payable on admission. The
Doggy Bali Holiday Special excludes all holiday periods, and closes on
31 May 2001. Pittwater Council's Boarding Kennels operate from the
Animal Shelter at Bloodwood Road, Ingleside, Tel: 9986 3746. For the Good of your Health!
