Psalm 10:14 But you, O God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.
GOD TAKES CARE OF IT
The wicked of this world can be strong, powerful, and ever so corrupt. They often hold positions of prestige and influence from which they are able to carry out their evil deeds. They scorn God and think they are getting away with it. For the Christian, this can be frustrating and discouraging. We wonder sometimes if the great evil on the earth will continue forever and ever -- or if God even notices it! We might get angry with the LORD when it appears He allows the unbelievers and mockers to get away with whatever they want.
But such things don't go unnoticed by the Almighty in heaven. The wicked may think they are escaping the eye of the all-knowing God, but for all their cunning and deception, He sees them. He sees what they do and He knows what is in their hearts. He does see the trouble and grief that they cause, and He does "consider it." He "takes it in hand" and will do what is right and proper concerning it in His own time. The original Hebrew words here suggest that God not only sees the deeds of the wicked, but it is His habit to keep an eye on such things -- He continually observes these matters.
So do not worry. With His own hand and divine insight He will take care of any judgment against the sons of the devil. For you, be content to commit yourselves to His loving care and watchful eye. Make it your habit to say, "The LORD will do what is best for me. He will defend me from all the wicked." For as much as He watches what the wicked do, so much more He watches over the lives of you, His dear children. You are His own by faith in Christ Jesus and He does not overlook that. He is the helper of the fatherless. That is His habit too. He is your helper at all times.
