(Darlene Gonzales) CLIMB A FROZEN WATERFALL AND SOAK IN A NATURAL HOT SPRINGS POOL -- Guests of the Spangler House B&B in Ouray, Colorado can easily walk to Ouray’s Ice Park where they can climb spectacular walls of ice. Some of the world’s best ice climbing is here in Ouray and the access is free. For the beginner or intermediate climber, instructors, equipment and guides are readily available. Spectators are welcome to view the activities from several viewing decks. After a hard day of climbing or just playing spectator, guests of the Spangler House B&B can soak at Ouray’s one million gallon natural hot springs pool for half the normal price. Guests are also welcome to soak in the large outdoor hot tub at the Spangler House B&B. Every January, during the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, the town’s population swells with international ice climbers participating in the Ouray Ice Festival. Even during this weekend there are many events and ice walls open to the general public. Dates: December 15, 2007 - March 15, 2007. Cost: The winter room rates at the Spangler House B&B range from $75 per night to $105 per night for the suite.
