  February's Memory Verse
Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Things are getting exciting around Mountain Lake Independent Baptist Church. There is an air of anticipation in each service with decisions for salvation, baptism, and Christian living being made weekly.

2012 is our church's 50th anniversary, and the following are
12 reasons each of us should be faithful to church in 2012
1. At MLIBC You Will Hear Some Of The Great Independent Baptist Preachers In Our Land. In our revival meetings, big days, and special conferences, we are privileged to have behind our pulpit powerful, Spirit-filled preachers from all across the country who are being used of God in many wonderful ways.
2. At MLIBC You Will Be Challenged By Godly Missionaries From Around The World. Men and their families who have left all to follow and obey the Lord's call are a continual challenge to us in our responsibilities in reaching the world with the Gospel.
3. At MLIBC You Have The Opportunity To Learn The Vital Doctrines Of Scripture. From the pulpit, to our Sunday School classes (all departments), and in Bible Institute, the fundamental doctrines of God's Word are clearly preached and taught. We emphasize salvation, dedication, and the literal interpretation and application of Scripture.
4. At MLIBC We Enjoy The Fellowship & Encouragement Of Fellow Believers Seeking To Please God With Their Lives. Of course, none of us have "arrived" spiritually, but we are blessed with church members in varying stages of spiritual growth who are sincerely seeking to please God and be a blessing to their brothers & sisters in Christ.
5. At MLIBC You Have The Opportunity To Be Trained In Key Areas Of Christian Living. We do not preach or teach simply to "tickle ears" or pad egos, our preaching and teaching is Bible based and designed to provoke God's people to exercisefaithin God and find victory in every area of life. We work hard at training God's people to be effective soul winners, how to study God's Word, how to pray and live for God.
6. By Being Faithful To MLIBC, You Are Doing The ONE Thing That Is Most Effective In Promoting The Success Of Our Church. Of course, active involvement & sacrificial giving are important aspects of church success, but by simply attending each service, you are a key ingredient in the success of our church.
7. At MLIBC You Experience A Renewed Appreciation For The Proven Hymns Of The Faith! We are sticking with the proven hymns of the faith. The great hymns are proven treasures that inspire the soul and prepare our hearts for the Word of God in powerful ways. With our monthly, "Hymn History's" presentation, you will understand the men and stories behind these great songs.
8. At MLIBC, You Will Experience "Old Time," Bible Christianity. We would never claim to be all we could be, but with so many unhealthy changes taking place within modern day churches, we have determined to stick with the Word of God and to diligently apply it to every area of life.
9. At MLIBC, You Will Have Preaching & Teaching From Only The King James Version Of The Bible.
10. By Being Faithful To MLIBC, You Will Challenge And Encourage Other Christians To Be Faithful To Church. This is especially true for new believers and young people.
11. By Being Faithful To MLIBC, You Will Be Obeying God's Direct Command. (Hebrews 10:25) The primary manifestation of our love for the Lord is obedience to His commands.
12. By Being Faithful To MLIBC, You Are Following In The Footsteps Of The New Testament Believers. One characteristics of the NT believers was their devotion to their local church.
Words cannot express how excited I am about church this coming year!!!!
Tract Month "War" has been official declared between Calvary Baptist Church of Mannington, WV and MLIBC.
This year we are competing with Bro. Lee Bowman's church in tract distribution. Details will be made available in the coming weeks.
Our tickets to Puerto Rico have been purchased. We have an exciting team heading down to work with Bro. Jim Shelton and the Maranatha Church of Ceiba.
I can't wait till next weekend for our Couple's Banquet and Family Sunday with Dr. Lonnie Mattingly. This could be a genuine "home changing" event for our church families.
