Our speaker next week is Paul Keene FRPS; Paul will be presenting his talk - 2012 A Special Year.
I can't find out too much about this talk other than the fact that this will be two travelogues in North America, Canyon Lands and Death Valley and secondly the Grand Tetons. Paul is a prolific wildlife and environmental photographer, with examples of his work being shown on The Zoological Photographic Club website.

Next Monday, 9 March will be the monthly meeting of the DI Group, as usual all club members are welcome, even more so if they bring along pictures to show, either prints or projected images (jpeg on USB memory stick only please). This week Ashwin also hopes that there will be a short demonstration by Bob Micklethwaite on the production of AV presentations using Photodex Pro Show software. |

Bristol Salon Presentation
|
Owing to the increased cost of hiring the QEH Theatre (it has now gone up to £500 for the evening) and the fact that we will be moving to new premises very shortly we have decided to have two presentations in Bristol this year. The first will be on 25 March and will be held at the clubrooms; this will be primarily for BPS members. The second will be on a Sunday afternoon after we have moved (date yet to be fixed) and will be held at the new premises and will be open to all; it is hoped that the change to a Sunday afternoon will encourage a large number members from other local clubs to come along. Obviously seating at West Mall is limited (60 max), so if you wish to bring friends and/or family then maybe it will be worth waiting until the showing at the new premises.

Next week is the final week of so called unrestricted parking in Clifton. The new parking scheme comes into force on March 16 so members are advised to go to the City Council's website to see how the new scheme will affect them over the transition period from the commencement of the scheme and the move to Montpelier. You can see a more detailed view of the actual proposals by clicking here for the Clifton South proposals and here for the Clifton North proposals. There is no doubt that this is going to hit us hard, but we will hopefully be leaving all of this behind very shortly. |
If you want to blow your own trumpet (or someone else's), then this is the place to do it. Please let me know and I'll include details in a future issue. |
Items will remain in this section for one month from the date of insertion or until notification of sale, whichever is the sooner.
Please let the newsletter editor know if/when any of the items listed are sold.

If you have something photographic that you want to sell, let me have the details and I will circulate them to a captive audience of photographers through the Newsletter - send to the usual address.
