Jeff and Dakota Hyde have decided to take the development of a village on lot 3 of the old school property in a new direction. Recognizing the concerns of the Citizens of Huntsville with their proposal for a mixed use development on the old school property, the Hydes have updated their proposal to the town. The new proposal is strictly commercial and does not contain any residential dwelling units.
While this new direction involves more risk for the Hydes and includes an extended timeline for completion, they felt it was the right thing to do. This will save the town the expense of holding a special election and hopefully bring more unity into the town. The town council will pass a resolution this Thursday reversing their decision to allow a mixed use development on this property and expect to complete the sale of the property to the Hydes shortly thereafter.
