The next opportunity to claim the gavel will be at St Peter’s Lodge September meeting on Tuesday 20th September 2016. This will be the 175th anniversary of the first meeting of St Peter’s Lodge and to mark the occasion, the third degree ceremony scheduled for that evening will be performed by our Provincial Grand Master assisted by his Deputy and his Assistant Grand Masters. |

Provincial Church Service
|
The Provincial Church Service will be held on Sunday 12th June 2016, at The Church of St Nicholas and St John, Monkton Priory, Pembroke. The service will commence at 3.00pm and it is the wish of the Provincial Grand Master that as many Brethren and their families support the Province by attending the service. Further details will appear on the Provincial Website nearer the day, but save the date in your diaries! It is very interesting to note that the Rev David Bowen, at one time DPrGM to Lord Kensington found Monkton Church in ruins when he first became the incumbent, and over a period of 50 years saw to the restoration to what we have today. There was considerable involvement by Freemasons in the restoration and the windows in the lady chapel are dedicated to Freemasons. You can read all about it and see some more photos by clicking here. |
A Very Special Installation Meeting
|
Saturday 18th June 2016 will be the 25th birthday of the Peter Drewett Daylight Lodge of Progress and at a very special Installation meeting to celebrate the occasion, The Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro Stephen Hookey, is intending to retain the gavel when it is proffered and conduct the ceremony with the assistance of the entire Provincial Team. Space in the Temple and at the Installation Banquet is likely to be at a premium, so early booking is essential. For further details and to book your place, contact the Lodge Secretary, RW Bro Eric Mock (egsm@wwmason.com) |
Caerfyrddin Lodge Presentations
|
Caerfyrddin Worshipful Master, W Bro Phillip J Rimell is pictured presenting a cheque for £830 to Ty Bryngwyn at Prince Philip Hospital Llanelli. The money was raised as the chosen charity by the Worshipful Master and his good lady Gill on their Lodge Ladies evening where the sum raised was then match funded by Lloyds Bank. The donation will go to assist patients and their families with their Palliative Care during the time of need. |
W Bro Philip W Jones and W Bro T Adrian Evans presenting a cheque for £100 to Elin Wyn James. Elin is a pupil at Ysgol Bro Myrddin and has been chosen as part of the Urdd Gobaith Cymru's volunteer project in Patagonia where she will be working with children and young people. The project will develop her skills and also help to form a close relationship between Wales and Patagonia. Elin believes together with others in the group they will hopefully be helping to make a difference in Patagionia and to help to contribute to her local community on her return.

It appears the weather is so good in Tenby, that it's attracting some very interesting wildlife! Tenby's Acting Senior Warden, VW Bro Brian Hilling is pictured with a 12ft Burmese Python which dropped in to Tenby's February meeting to say hello. The Senior Deacon of Tenby Lodge, Bro Simon Parker runs a business with exotic animals and gave an interesting talk about some of his charges. Pictured below are,
