Luke 20:17 The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.

A SURE THING: THE CONSISTENCY OF THE TRUTH OF SALVATION

When we had our first child, the doctor told us to lay him on his stomach. When we had our second child, the doctor told us to lay her on her back. When we had our third child, the doctor told us to lay him on his side. Confusing? Yes. Consistent? No.

While there are many changes in "conventional wisdom," we are thankful that God has always been consistent in His plan of salvation. The Way is Christ. Salvation can always be found in Christ and His work. "The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone." Even though Jesus' divinity has been questioned and will continue to be questioned, He is able to save. It is trustworthy to build your hope upon Him.

Here is where we have to filter out the lies of Satan and the lies of the world and go to what our God says. The Lord in no uncertain terms tells us the value of Christ. Yes, many have rejected Him, but the Church is built upon this chief cornerstone.

From the days of Adam and Eve until the end of time, Christ is the sure way of salvation. Forgiveness can always be found in Him. His blood will always be sufficient to pay for sin. His resurrection will always be the connection that we have to our personal resurrection to life. The fact that Christ is the chief cornerstone will always be true. Salvation in Him will always be true.

What a blessing to know that on the Last Day there will be no surprises for the Christian. What God has stated in the Scriptures will stand. His truth remains.
