Over 200 people from a variety of cultures danced together at the Parliament of the World's Religions
Dear Friends,
After almost a year in the making, our community art project of The Fire Truck as a tribute to John Lennon's Rolls Royce is almost complete. Check out the beautiful pictures below.

There is another home for sale, this one just around the corner from our entrance. You could literally walk or ride a bike to The Farm, giving you easy access to all our events and activities.

The Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago was very cool! Our news media seems to focus on so much of what is wrong in these times. Events like the Parliament help you realize how many people have dedicated their lives to doing good in the world, and that within all faiths is a foundation of peace and love.

Peace,
Douglas

The Fire Truck: Community Art

From July 2022 through September 2023, Bernice Davidson and a team of community artists transformed a vintage fire truck into a homage to the psychedelic Rolls Royce of Beatle John Lennon.

This colorful piece of community art can be viewed in person when you visit The Farm Community. It is located adjacent to the main road (Farm Road) about 1.5 miles from the entrance and Welcome Center.

A few of the artists on the team
Xandra Deptula, Krista Ferngully, Bernice Davidson, Janet McIntyre

Bernice and I devised the initial concept and design, which took over 10 years to implement. She supervised all of the artist's who contributed and painted several of the panels herself.
