What would it mean for us to “dwell together in unity”?

On March 7th and 9th, Resonance Works presents this season’s major choral-orchestral program, Dwell Together in Oakland and Fox Chapel. These impactful concerts feature the “consistently opulent” (Washington Classical Review) mezzo-soprano Lucia Bradford, rising star Victory Brinker, the Resonance Chamber Orchestra, and the Reson8 Vocal Octet, joining forces with an expanded Festival Chorus.

Created in partnership between Artistic Director Maria Sensi Sellner and esteemed choral conductor and founder of The Heritage Gospel Chorale of Pittsburgh, Dr. Herbert V.R.P. Jones, the concert takes its name from Psalm 133, the final line of Leonard Bernstein’s deeply moving Chichester Psalms, “How good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” Bernstein's piece will be presented in conversation with the Pittsburgh premiere of Joel Thompson’s powerful Seven Last Words of the Unarmed and Julia Perry’s dramatic Stabat Mater, alongside other works by American composers.
