A Summer of Challenges
It’s Summer, time for some UK Challenges. Good weather and long daylight hours mean we could have near perfect conditions for testing ourselves with a long distance walking challenge. For just this situation, we’ve developed our new ‘Challenge Map & Guide’ titles. Combining 25k scale OSlike mapping with gps records and a digital Custom Map as free downloads, we have everything we need to tackle summer fitness. On the reverse of the map sheet we use OS Opendata 250k scale mapping to show the location of the challenge and how to get there.
If you think Challenges have to be dour, then think again, as all of our DWG Challenges take place in outstandingly beautiful countryside.
Edale Skyline Challenge Map

A wonderful ridge top route based around the village of Edale. We opt for the NT car park as our start/finish point, not just because parking is free for NT members, but also to avoid the crowds that start/finish in Edale. Less energetic that its Y3P neighbour, this route makes for a great day out with a target time of 10 hours which fit walkers should complete in about 8 hours. See all the details HERE.

For the UK’s most popular Challenge we’ve redesigned our map to emphasise the official Challenge route, complete with waypoints making it easy to assess our progress. We’ve split the total route into 4 sections; Horton to Pen-y-ghent, Pen-y-ghent to Whernside, Whernside to Ingleborough, and Ingleborough to Horton. Being so popular, especially with charity fund raisers, we advise on how to avoid the frustrations of crowds on your personal challenge.

A Challenge route linking Box Hill, Hambledon Hill and the Leith Hill Tower from a start in Dorking means we do not always have to trek north for a grand Challenge day out in beautiful countryside. Problems at Amazon

receive the wrong map due to Amazon sticking their own incorrect label
onto the map. One client ordering a Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge Map
received a Madeira Map which was returned, and then a Lanzarote Map
which they returned and cancelled their order for a refund. If you order
from Amazon and receive the wrong product we suggest you cancel the
order, return the incorrect product to Amazon at their expense, and then
