Hello bookstore people!
A confession:
I believe in preaching to the choir.
Not only do I like books, I like books about books.
Our next author event is with a man who's spent his life around books.
He's worked in New York publishing for most of his career.
And around five years ago, he had a huge hit with his debut memoir, The End of Your Life Book Club.
I heard all the good reviews of his book at the time and I thought, I don’t want to read that.
Then I was at a conference in New York, and I heard Will Schwalbe speak.
He was wonderful!
Warm, funny, and passionate about his subject matter.
He won me over that day, and when I saw that he was touring for his latest, Books for Living, I knew I wanted to share both the book and the man with you.
Books for Living is a sort of memoir through books.
Will writes of books that have taught lessons, that have connected him to other people, and some that are simply great reads.
This is a love letter to literature.
You and I, we’re bookstore people.
