I met Kate Colleran quite a few years ago at a Quilt Market and we've been keeping up with each other's exploits for quite a while now. Kate's a prolific quilt designer and if you're familiar with her work you can see her MANY patterns here, of which my favorite is " Sail Away". But that's not all. Kate has a couple of books on the market and a great website with free patterns, tips & tutorials as well an interesting Blog where you can learn to " ice dye". And while your there, don't forget to check out Kate's FaceBook page, Pinterest page & YouTube videos.

Techie Tutorial of the Month-
How to share a FaceBook Video somewhere OTHER than FaceBook!
|
Ever see a video on Facebook you want to share, but not on Facebook? Perhaps in a text message, an email, a blog post or a newsletter? (This happens to me when I want to share something inside joke-ish with my daughter or a buddy for example.)
Just do this:
1. While on your computer, find the video on Facebook.
2. Right-click on it (control-click on a Mac).
3. Select "Show video URL" from the menu.
4. Highlight the whole link in the box that appears & copy.
5. Paste it wherever.

Liz Clark, 34, a self-proclaimed “she-pirate,” has been sailing around the world since 2006 when she quit her job as a bartender in San Diego, California. Clark was given a Cal40 sailboat on the condition that she would document her adventures around the world. In 2013, “Captain Lizzy” welcomed a 6-month-old kitten that she rescued aboard. { Click HERE to continue reading this story}
