LA's Call to Action
Introducing: Donation sorting @ Downtown Women’s Center
We’re excited to introduce the new Managed Project at Downtown Women’s Center, led by Davida Sullivan, a trained L.A. Works volunteer leader. The Downtown Women’s Center (DWC) provides meals, permanent supportive housing apartments, and a wide array of health, education, and other supportive services to more than 2,500 homeless and very low-income women each year. Once a month, L.A. Works volunteers come to the DWC to sort and organize in-kind donations. Volunteers sort through used clothing, shoes, toiletries, household supplies and other items which will then be provided to women served by DWC to help meet basic needs. MORE>>>
