A Message from Michelle Wolf
Rachel, Danny and I want to thank the Library Minyan for your love, hugs and food during the recent Shivah for Aron Wolf. We miss him immensely, and always will, although his absence is softened by your caring support.

A Tribute for Miriam Prum Hess
As you may know, our own Miriam Prum Hess is being honored along with Mark Berns for her efforts on behalf of the Builders of Jewish Education. Miriam’s entire 40-plus year career has been in Jewish communal service. She joined BJE in 2004, and her impact has been profound. Her contributions to Jewish education in Los Angeles are countless, and her approach of innovation and adaptation has been a hallmark of her career.

Miriam has been a member of the Library Minyan for 40 years.  She created the wonderful Bresheet Puppet Show and lovingly involved dozens of our children over the years. She has served as a member of our Steering Committee and has also worked quietly behind the scenes to help our Minyan grow. She has been a strong example of our motto Come, Serve, and Belong

Please join me in contributing to the cost of a BJE Tribute Advertisement in honor of Miriam. The deadline is Sunday, February 27, 2022. You can make your contribution online at tbala.org/giving/donate, please designate “Library Minyan Fund.” Miriam will receive a list of those who contributed (unless one wants to be anonymous).

If you have any questions, please contact me at JKrautman@sbcglobal.net or reply to this email.

Haftarah Plethora
In a reprise of last year’s Haftarah Plethora for Shabbat Sh'Kalim, Rick and Larry talk about the boy king Yeho’ash. Larry finds similarities with his work on infrastructure finance in Africa while Rick thinks one message of the haftarah is to trust but verify. The boys agree that the haftarah has some practical lessons in governance. Shabbat Shalom
